Learn more about ECATS at TAC-3
From 25-28 June 2012 the conference on transport, atmosphere and climate took place in Prien (Chiemsee), near Munich, Germany. ECATS researchers presented research results from collaborative work on fundamental questions for sustainable aviation.
On alternative fuels an assessments of their atmospheric impact is combined with fuel specification and compliance studies. For aviation particulate matter emissions relevant research on improved characterisation and description (characterisation) was presented. Specific atmospheric impact studies with regards to atmospheric composition and climate impact on global scale, green flight options and interdependency modelling approaches were presented. Additionally, ECATS partners contributed with their expertise on science-stakeholder interface to the field of disruptive events (i.e. volcanic ash) for the European Air Transport System. Finally, during TAC-3, training activities and education were on display which were performed by ECATS International Association within the highly interdisciplinary field of aviation and environment.
ECATS members had the opportunity to register at a reduced participation fee at the conference.
