Executive Board

The ECATS International Association includes an Executive Board. This board carries out day-to-day management and financial administration of the Association as well as the general coordination of the association’s activities. The Executive Board performs its management in line with the strategy and goals of ECATS, but also delegation of its powers of daily management.

Only natural persons who represent a Full Member in the General Assembly can be elected as Executive Board member. The Executive Board is elected by the [General Assembly] of the ECATS International Association. The number of Executive Board members shall be at least three while not exceeding ten and not more than the number of the full members minus one. Members are elected for 2 years, with a possible re-election for one more tenure.

Meetings should be held at least twice a year. Resolutions of Executive Board can be taken by 80% majority. The rights and duties of an Executive Board member are personal and may not be delegated to any other person. Executive Board within ECATS International Association is free to act within limits of annual budget and strategy determined for its day-to-day management. Decisions on how to implement annual plan can be taken or delegated to chairman or one or more members of Executive Board.

  • Chair: Sigrun Matthes (DLR);
  • Vice-Chair: Dave Raper (MMU);
  • Treasurer: Peter Wiesen (BUW);
  • Executive Secretary: Paul Brok (NLR);
  • Board Member: Tasos Tsalavoutas (NTUA).
